Volonaut Airbike is a futuristic personal flying vehicle designed by Polish inventor Tomasz Patan. This jet-powered hoverbike is built for just one person to ride and can hit speeds of up to 200 km/h. The Airbike has recently completed its development phase and is now planning to release it to the public. Volonaut hasn’t shared how much the Airbike will cost or when exactly it might be available to the public. And it may be a while before something like this becomes part of everyday travel
One of its main features is a built-in flight computer that helps with balance and automatic hovering, making it easier for a person to control without needing complex flying skills. Its compact design and lack of spinning propellers means it can fly in tighter spaces compared to larger drones or aircraft. The seating position offers an open 360-degree view, helping the rider feel more connected to the environment and the vehicle.
The controls are assisted by Airbike's proprietary stabilization system and flight computer. This helps to keep the ride steady and easier to manage, even if you are not a trained pilot. And due to its advanced carbon fiber materials and 3D printing, it weighs about seven times less than a regular motorcycle.
Interestingly, this comes shortly after the Jetson ONE, another compact eVTOL with a similar goal, completed its first production flight. That aircraft features eight motors and propellers, delivering enough power for a stable, smooth ride. After seeing multiple flying tech this one seems more thoughtfully designed. It’s compact, avoids complex parts like large propellers, and feels like something that could realistically be used in the near future.
